Terms of Service

By subscribing to Planning Alerts UK you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose — we aim to treat you fairly, and in return we expect you to treat the service and its data fairly.

The service

Planning Alerts UK emails you a weekly digest of approved residential planning applications in the UK postcode area you pick when subscribing. Data is sourced directly from public UK council planning portals.

What we promise

• At least one digest per week provided the council portal has new data
• Accurate reproduction of public planning-record data
• Your email and postcode data will never be sold
• Cancellation is one click, with no retention friction
• Full refund of the current month if you receive zero leads across four consecutive weeks — just email us

What we don't promise

• That any specific number of leads will result in business for you
• That the planning applicant will want to hire you
• That every council portal will always be reachable — some block automated access intermittently
• Uptime guarantees or SLAs — this is a side service, not mission-critical infrastructure

Acceptable use

Subscriber digests are for your own use in pursuing trade leads. You may not:

• Resell the data or redistribute it to third parties
• Use it to harass homeowners — contact should be professional and trade-related
• Submit the data to consumer-facing aggregators or lead-resale platforms
• Scrape our website in attempt to avoid subscribing

Payment

Billing is handled by Gumroad. £20 per month recurring. You can cancel from your Gumroad account at any time and retain access to the current billing period.

Liability

We provide the service "as is". We will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the digests — for example, a job that didn't materialise, a homeowner who didn't reply, or a rival trade who got there first. Our maximum aggregate liability to you is the total subscription fee you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

Termination

You can cancel anytime. We can terminate your subscription if you breach acceptable use above — we'll refund the unused portion of the current month.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes that can't be resolved by conversation will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
